Welcome to Kingfisher Class
Nursery and Reception
Kingfisher Class Newsletter
Week beginning 11th September
The children have been settling back into the routines of the class.
We had a visit from our new Nursery friends – Will, Jonah, Hollie, Austin, Luca and George.
We look forward to them joining our class next week.
Week Beginning 18th September
The sound of the week will be ‘b’. If your child can find something at home which begins with the sound ‘b’ they can bring it into school and put it in the special box. We will look at the objects on Friday morning.
Having observed the children’s interests last week, we will be having a minibeast hunt on Wednesday (weather permitting) so please make sure your child has their wellies in school. We will be talking about how to take care with living things and having some special visitors to the class to observe! They will also be planting some new plants and flowers in our garden.
The Reception children will be developing an awareness of rhythm and rhyme.

Star of the Week – Week beginning 11.09.17
Every week we choose a Reception child to be ‘Star of the Week’. They will receive a special certificate in our Friday celebration assembly.
This week we have chosen Rocco Mantilaris for settling back so well into the routines of the class.
Please enjoy some of the snapshots we have taken this week!
