Nursery and Reception
Week beginning 7th May 2018
This week we our caterpillars have been doing lots of growing! They are now beginning to go to the top of the pot and spin their cocoons. We are looking forward to them emerging as butterflies.
We have been talking about healthy eating this week. The Reception children sorted foods into those they thought were healthy, and those which were not so healthy. The children had demonstrated a good knowledge of what healthy foods are.
Week Beginning 14th 2018
This week we are celebrating the lead up to the Royal wedding on Saturday. The children will be learning about Harry and Meghan and will be making their own crowns, etc.
The Nursery sound of the week will be ‘d’. If your child can find something at home which begins with the sound ‘d’ they can bring it into school and put it in the special box.
The Reception children will be consolidating all the digraphs and trigraphs they have learnt so far.
They will be sharing, halving and doubling amounts and numbers.
