Ludham Primary School and Nursery held their Sports Afternoon on 27th June, and also held a 'Bake for Brake' cake sale, to raise funds for the road safety charity 'Brake'.
We raised £167 for Brake, during the afternoon and still have lots more cakes to sell tomorrow.
Zac the Zebra, Brake's mascot, made an appearance at the sports day and even joined in some of the events, like the adults Space Hopper race! Thanks go to Mrs Kristen Hurn and Mrs Theresa Perkins who organised a brilliant and fun-filled sports afternoon, and thanks also to Mrs Helen Bartlett, one of the parents, who kindly dressed up in the zebra costume, on what was a very hot, sunny afternoon.
Supportive parents/carers and children made lots of cakes to sell at the 'Bake for Brake' charity event, including traffic light buns!
Headteacher, Heather Delf, said she was delighted with the turn out for the annual Sports Day, and the response to the charity fundraising event.
'The charity 'Brake', does important work in helping to save lives, by raising road safety awareness. I am so grateful to all the families, governors and staff at Ludham Primary School and Nursery, for their hard work, and support in making, selling and buying cakes - a real team effort!'
